The Reverend Derek Perry B.A., M.T.S., M. Div.
Before being called to ministry I enjoyed a successful career, in construction and development. I am a graduate of McMaster University and of Wycliffe College in the University of Toronto. When I came to Christianity I attended St. Mary’s (now the Church of the Nativity) in Hamilton, where I was privileged to serve in most lay positions of the parish. I also did committee work in the Diocese of Niagara for many years. I am a Cursillista and am blessed with six adult children and ten, and counting, grandchildren.
I was ordained to the Diaconate in the Diocese of Niagara and served at St. Mary’s. I moved to St. Andrew’s in Kitchener, and was in turn the Deacon and an Honourary Assistant there, when I was ordained in the Diocese of Huron. I am now blessed to serve in this parish of Christ Church, Oxford Centre, St. John’s, Eastwood and St. Paul’s, Princeton. Each congregation has its own character, joys and mission, and all nourish me as I pursue my ministry to serve the people of God.
I am married to the Reverend Yun-Hee Noh-Perry, together we do ecumenical and multicultural outreach.
